Red Sox Game at Fenway Park – Boston Must-Do

⚾ First Time at Fenway Park – Hot Dogs, Lobster Rolls & Red Sox Vibes in Boston!

One of the things I was most excited to do after moving to Boston?
Watching a Red Sox game at Fenway Park!

Okay, okay—I’m not a huge baseball fan, and I haven’t been to many games in my life.
But Boston = Red Sox, and Boston = Fenway Park, so obviously… I had to go!

🏟️ Getting There – Fenway Park Energy

The best part? Fenway is actually walkable from my place—about 40 minutes on foot!
But since we didn’t want to show up sweaty and exhausted before a long game, we hopped on the subway instead. Smart move.

As we got closer, the crowd grew louder, the streets buzzed, and excitement was literally in the air. It was already packed an hour before game time!

And honestly, I wasn’t just here for the baseball. I was here to:

  • Soak in the atmosphere

  • Eat everything in sight

  • Cheer like a true Bostonian

Even just walking through the crowd made me giddy!

🌭 The Foodie Moment – Street Hot Dogs

Before heading into the stadium, we passed rows of sizzling hot dog carts—and the smoky, savory smell was just too good to resist.

So yes, I caved and grabbed a hot dog. And OMG. So simple, yet so perfect. Just a grilled sausage and bun, but the flavor? Absolute fire. 🔥

Once inside Fenway, the first thing we did (naturally) was head to the souvenir shop.
Red Sox merch? A must. We got matching shirts and caps. I wasn’t planning to wear it that day, but the weather turned chilly—so I put it on and BOOM: suddenly I was a full-on Red Sox superfan 😂

🦞 The Lobster Roll Surprise

As we explored the food options, guess what I spotted?
Luke’s Lobster. Inside Fenway Park!

I’ve tried lobster rolls all over Boston, but Luke’s is hands down my fave. I immediately grabbed a roll set (with chips and a pickle, of course), plus a cold beer.
Oh, and because I was feeling wild—popcorn AND ice cream too. No shame here.

Now our seats were fully snack-loaded, and we were ready for game time. My husband even insisted on keeping the popcorn bucket as a souvenir—it’s still somewhere in our kitchen cabinet, haunting us lovingly.

🎶 Game Time – Music, Cheers & That Fenway Magic

Right before the game began, a singer (no idea who, but people were thrilled) took the field and performed the national anthem beautifully. The vibe was electric.

Apparently, this was a big game for the Red Sox, and the energy in the stadium reflected that. The crowd was LOUD—cheering, gasping, and reacting to every single play with so much heart.

There weren’t any organized chants or team songs like I’ve seen in Korean baseball games, but they did do the wave and had fun giveaways for fans shown on the big screen.

Sadly, the Red Sox lost that night—but it didn’t really matter to me.
I got to watch a real game, in a legendary stadium, on a perfect-weather day—and it felt unforgettable.

💸 Was It Worth It?

Our tickets were about $150 per person. Pricey? Sure.
But for a one-of-a-kind Boston experience? 100% worth it—even for someone who doesn’t know all the rules of baseball 😄

❤️ Final Thoughts

If you’re in Boston, you have to catch a game at Fenway Park at least once.
Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just in it for the food and fun (like me!), the atmosphere, the snacks, and the pure Boston spirit make it a must-do.
